Last Tuesday, March 1st, ISSA held a pre-screening of the documentary, Blue Gold: World Water Wars. On Friday, March 18th, it will be the film ISSA focuses on at our much anticipated film screening and discussion panel. The documentary was shown for officers and members to better understand the material and message we will be promoting to our university community, as well as all other friends of ISSA planning to attend. Blue Gold addresses world water issues and cautions its audience of the repercussions that the world will soon face if citizens don’t hold their governments and large corporations accountable for poor decision-making concerning our water. It holds a powerful message that ISSA will be proud to back up once March 18th rolls around.
Relating to our Blue Gold event, officers and members alike joined preparation committees and were given their responsibilities that will make the film screening and discussion panel successful. To get more information about the event, please click here.
In other news, ISSA and the rest of the world have been watching the revolutionary wave in North Africa and Southwest Asia unfold for the past very few weeks. An awesome opportunity to better understand the situation will be available to us next week in our student union. Don’t miss this!
Til next week, ISSA…
